During this study, researchers at the United Kingdom's Loughborough University monitored the blood sugar levels and the energy levels of 14 men while they rode an hour on the bike and then took an hour-long soak in a hot bath.
The water in the bath was heated to 104 degrees Fahrenheit. They found that the 14 men burned as many calories as a 30-minute walk.
