It All Started With a Wedding
Before the Owl’s Tale was a bubble bath, before it was a Liquid Bath Bomb, and long before it became a room and linen spray, it was something much more personal.
It was a wedding favor.
When my husband, Brian, and I got married in 2024, we wanted to give our guests something that felt personal to us. Rather than another traditional wedding favor, we decided to create a fragrance.
So we went on a little sensory adventure.
We smelled fragrance after fragrance, explored different combinations, and talked about the kinds of scents that reminded us of being outdoors. We wanted something that felt peaceful and sophisticated, but also earthy and a little mysterious.
Eventually, we landed on The Owl’s Tale.
So, Where Did the Name Come From?
There’s a story behind that, too.
Before Brian and I were married, I proposed to him along the Hudson River in New York City. Afterward, we celebrated our engagement at a cozy bar called the Owl’s Tail.
So, when we were creating the fragrance for our wedding, the name felt perfect. It represented that chapter of our lives, the beginning of a new journey together.
And just like that, The Owl’s Tale was born.
Our Wedding Guests Loved It. Then You Did, Too.
We originally created Owl’s Tale just for our wedding guests. But when our friends and family started telling us how much they loved the scent, we knew we couldn't keep it to ourselves.
So we added it to the TOA Waters collection as a bubble bath and later as a Liquid Bath Bomb.
And you absolutely fell in love with it.
The Owl’s Tale quickly became one of those scents that customers kept coming back to, and then you started asking us for something new:
“When are you going to make this into a room spray?”
Well, we listened.
